Production Diary - Day of Production
During our filming process, we took a couple of pictures in order to document our process and show behind the scenes of our opening sequence. Our next step is Post-Production where we will be editing together the footage and adding in effects and sounds to make our opening sequence interesting and professional.
Here are the photographs of our production.

Production Diary - Location
As part of our production diary, we decided to make a pre-visit to the location we are planning to film on. We have taken photos of the Stonesfield common to gain an idea of where we are placing everything in the variety of shots we are planning on using.
The character will be placed in the middle of the field to portray a sense of isolation throughout the opening sequence.
This is a compilation of photographs of our location that we have edited together to show the full surroundings of our setting.

Production Diary - Script
Our next step was to create a script for the Opening sequence. Daisy and I brainstormed an idea to have a voice over of the character, instead of normal dialogue. We wanted to incorporate a quote into the opening sequence and so we set out to find a quote that is appropriate to the story.
This is the Quote we chose:
This is the Quote we chose:
“Ordinary riches can
be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul there are infinitely precious
things that cannot be taken from you.” – Oscar Wilde
Following the chosen quote, we each incorporated it into our own creation and came up with a line each. We then highlighted our favourite parts of the lines we had written and merged them together into one line to ensure we got the best out of both of our ideas.
Below, the word document shows our process from the beginning to the end of script writing.

Production Diary- Title Sequence
In our most recent lessons we have been preparing for our main task. For our preparation, we have drafted a title sequence. In this particular part of pre-production we have thought about how our titles will be displayed, where they will be placed on the screen and how we can portray the idea of a horror genre in the space of two minutes.
This is our drafted title sequence:
We have used a cream/yellow font to portray a sense of uncertainty as the colour is seen as a slightly off-colour. The titles are on a motion blur setting to further emphasise this idea. When we add our chosen music and sound effects after the content has been filmed, we aim to reinforce the idea of uncertainty and confusion as the main character struggles to find her state of mind.
Our next pre-production sequence is to create a storyboard as well as a live storyboard so that we can put our thoughts in perspective and ensure we can create a high quality opening sequence.

Production Diary - Storyboard
After carrying out research and pitching our idea to the class, myself and Daisy decided to create a storyboard. We have drawn the different shots we would like to include and taken into account the location and composition of the shot. The storyboard we have created is an outline to the opening sequence and helps us to put our ideas into drawings to establish a vague idea of what the opening sequence will look like. Following this, we will create a Live-Action Storyboard, which will include photographs in order for us to take the composition and angles into account.
Following the storyboard, as another part of my production diary, Daisy and I have created a live action storyboard. The live action storyboard focuses purely on the different shots we are going to include in our sequence. The shots in this storyboard do not contain the character or the real location because we wanted to practice the composition of the shots. We have included a few blurred shots to represent the sense of isolation and confusion the character is feeling, as well as an establishing shot to ensure the audience gain an idea of the location and setting.
